2014 Rieth 5K Training Runs
Every Tuesday from June 10 to August 26. Sign-in starts at 5:45 pm and the run will begin at 6:30 pm. Check in will be at the tent in the area by the Rieth Interpretive Center. The runs will be on an all-terrain course used since 1997 in the Goshen Parks Department Classified Woods and canal bank northwest of Goshen College between the Elkhart River and Goshen canal. Access to the Rieth Interpretive Center is off of Plymouth Ave. south of Shanklin Park in Goshen. A donation of $1.00 per run or $10.00 for the summer is requested to help defer expenses. Running clubs may have unlimited participation for members for a donation of $45.00. High School and Middle Schools teams can run at no cost as long as the coach provides a team roster and only those on the roster run as part of the team. Ribbon awards for 1st through 3rd for men and women in the following age categories: 10-and-under, 11-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 and-over. All age categories will run the full 5K course, except the 10-and-under and 11-13 age group categories that can run a 3K or 2K course.
